A Tesla burger whilst you wait for your car to charge?

We have all become used to Elon Musk and his random, outlandish and at times utterly weird Tweets, but it seems as though one is about to become reality. In 2018, Musk Tweeted: “Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA”, and after 3 years on ice, it looks like it is happening.

According to a report in Electrek, Tesla has applied for three new trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office that will cover the categories of “Restaurant services, pop-up restaurant services, self-service restaurant services, take-out restaurant services”. One for the word ‘Tesla’ itself, one for its ‘T’ logo, and the last one is for its own stylizing of the word ‘Tesla’.

Sadly, for those of us outside the US, the prospect of charging up our EV at a Tesla Drive-In remains a distant possibility. Would you like to add fries to that High Voltage Burger?
